Prospective study of outcome of trimalleolar ankle fractures

<p class="abstract">Trimalleolar fracture are complex and challenging to treat. We conducted a study on 15 patients with trimalleolar fracture. Fractures were classified based Lauge Hansen classification. They treated open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) plate screws for posterior malleolus lateral malleolus, tension band wire (TBW)/cannulated cancellous (CC) screw medial functional radiological outcomes assessed by Olerud Molender score Kristenson’s criteria respectively. Functional outcome was satisfactory in 93% of cases 86%. Early treatment without delay, anatomical stable every component, stringent post operative mobilization should help improve operated patients.</p>
